Thank you very much for visiting the Japan Society of Peace Education website. 

This academic association, established in 2025, is a scholarly community dedicated to advancing peace and education. 

We believe that education plays an extremely important role in realizing a society free from violence and discrimination, where everyone can live with dignity. Peace is never an abstract ideal; it is nurtured through daily learning, dialogue, and relationships. This association brings together diverse individuals—researchers, practitioners, educators, and students—to share their insights and experiences. We strive to advance peace education research and contribute to society. 

In particular, we will promote initiatives that bridge diverse educational fields related to peace, such as international understanding education, human rights education, citizenship education, and conflict prevention education, and connect academic research with practical application. Furthermore, we will collaborate with domestic and international educational research networks to build a robust research foundation that supports the learning of children and young people who will shape the future. 

Although this association is still new, we aspire to grow into a forum that brings together insights from educational research developed over the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras, with a flexible perspective to address future social challenges. We sincerely request your participation, support, and cooperation.
